Jose Gaya will sign a new contract extension at Valencia until 2028, according to reports in Spain.
The Barcelona linked defender will finally put pen to paper on a long-term contract ending speculations about his future as a Valencianista.
Barcelona were hoping to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 when his contract will expire.
Gaya’s discussion about a contract renewal with the Che began in September 2021 with former president Anil Murthy.
Valencia have offered Gaya a salary in excess of €3 million + bonuses and he is willing to sign and commit his long-term future to his boyhood club.

The contract is now expected to be signed by the end of this week or beginning of next week.
Jose Gaya made his senior debut at Mestalla for manager Mauricio Pellegrino in April 2014 against Atletico Madrid and has since gone on to make a total of 295 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and producing 29 assists.
