RB Leipzig have this morning announced they have relieved Christopher Vivell of his duties as their technical director.

Earlier this week, Chelsea talked with Vivell to fill the role of technical director in their club.

Vivell has been Leipzig’s technical director since 2020 after leaving Salzburg where he served as Head of Scouting from 2015.

Leipzig said Vivell was relieved from his role due to “differing views”.

“Christopher Vivell released with immediate effect. Christopher Vivell was released from his position as Technical Director yesterday, Thursday, with immediate effect due to differing views, a statement read.”
