Christopher Vivell will join Chelsea as new technical director after leaving his role at RB Leipzig as announced earlier today, reports Matt Law of Daily Telegraph.
Chelsea had a meeting with Christopher Vivell earlier this week and it was “very positive” after he agreed to join the project.
Vivell served as Salzburg’s Head of Scouting from 2015 until 2020 when he joined Leipzig as their technical director.
He left the role yesterday after Leipzig relieved him of his duties due to “differing views”.
Chelsea will look to step up their search for a sporting director after talks with Christoph Freund broke down 2 weeks ago after he rejected the London club to remain at Salzburg.
