West Bromwich Albion have this morning sacked head coach Steve Bruce following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Luton Town.
Assistant coaches Alex Bruce, Stephen Clemence and Steve Agnew were also sacked alongside Bruce.
West Brom Under-21 coach Richard Beale will takeover the team as interim manager with coaches Gary Walsh and James Morrison assisting him.
Steve Bruce replaced Valerian Ismael in February of last year and led West Brom to a 10th place finish in the championship, 8 points below play-off spot.
The former Aston Villa and Newcastle boss started the current season in a poor form winning only once in thirteen games, losing four of those with eight draws and leaving the team in the relegation zone.
On sacking Bruce, a statement read: “West Bromwich Albion have today parted company with Manager Steve Bruce.
“Under-21s coach Richard Beale will oversee first-team affairs on an interim basis, assisted by James Morrison and Gary Walsh.”
“The process of recruiting a new Manager is now under way and an appointment will be confirmed in due course,” the statement added.
