Mbappe has said he's not leaving Paris Saint-Germain

Kylian Mbappe has said he’s not angry with Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy and hasn’t asked to leave the club in January.

News broke out last Tuesday just before PSG hosted Benfica in the UEFA Champions League about Mbappe’s possible departure from the French capital in the January transfer window.

Mbappe who assisted Neymar in their 1-0 home win against Marseille said he’s staying put at the Parisian club.

“I am very happy at PSG. I never asked to leave in January, the information that came out on the day of the game I didn’t understand,” Mbappe said.

“I was as surprised as everyone else. There are people who may think I’m involved in this, but I’m not.

“I’m a soccer player. The most important thing for me is to play. If I start to get too distracted, I will get tired very quickly.

“We were stunned when we found out. Am I angry with PSG? No, not at all. This is completely wrong. I am very happy here.”

The 23-year-old has played 231 times for the French giants, scoring 183 goals and providing 89 assists. He has won four league titles at the club.
